Is there a way to add images to the site? I would like to send a couple photographs of ancient Chinese weapons when i see them at archaeological sites. I particularly like the old archery equipment and always photograph them. Pictures of other martial artifacts or sites could be fun, too.
Good question. Theoretically yes, but I'm still learning the site. I notice with these discussion forums there is an icon to add an image or
a video.
I think this is where we all can explore around and help each other. Also, they have help discussion forums where we can ask these questions.

I've created a page where we can upload pictures and then either see them on that page or display them on other pages.
The upload page is at http://crescentlands.wikidot.com/pictures.
To upload, select the Files at the bottom of the page and then follow the directions.
After you upload it to the page, you then have to make it visible (a bit of a kludge).
- Select edit
- Insert cursor after previous image ##[[image]]
- Click on the icon with the picture symbol and the star (picture wizard)
- Select "attached file" radio button or "external image" (I couldn't get attached file to work on this page)
- For "attached file" make sure you select the image and pick a size and a position
- Select "insert code"
- Select "preview" to make sure it works
- Select "save changes"
How 'bout adding other files as well? I've a blank character sheet in Word that might be usefull.
Sure…I'll create a document page for uploading documents.
I've created a page and I'm adding it to the drop downs and side bars. Instructions are on the site.
You'll notice that the forums and most pages have text that says + show more. If you click on this, it will show you how a page has been revised. It's very useful when trying to figure out what has changed if we are working on a document together (like people editing a meeting summary). You can see this functionality on the first discussion on this page http://crescentlands.wikidot.com/forum/t-26789/fast-medium-slow-spells-initiative
In the spirit of openess, I have given all of you the ability to add new people to the site.

I uploaded two more images, but I cannot figure out how to make them visible. The first one I uploaded became
visible without any help from me. Magic?
I tried to use your excellent little tutorial, but I could not get past step two, inserting the cursor, since I could not find
anything which resembled the [[image]] thing you show.

I downloaded you file and reduced the size and it worked fine. Try reducing the size of all your files to around 300k. Also, reduce the overall display size and see if that works.
If you click on "files" and then "info" for the two pictures that you uploaded, you'll see the field "MIME type:" is blank. This is why the gallery is not picking them up.
I just uploaded an image to test it (vlamis_boys.jpg) and it populated that field with "image/jpeg" automatically. I could not manually change it. My picture went directly into the gallery without any further fiddling.
I downloaded and then re-upload your images and "MIME type" was filled this time, so they are now in the gallery. Unfortunately, I cannot delete files, so you all get to look at my two sons :)
